It's Loaded

Loading a gun was a bit more cumbersome in the 19th century. But a loaded gun gave you a significant advantage, especially if you were an Indian encountering an enemy that only had more traditional weapons.

I call this new style Western Impressionism, combining cold wax and oil paint. Cold wax is a form of beeswax that is blended with a solvent to make a thick, fast-drying paste. This is used to create a variety of layers which can be sculpted and scraped to create interesting textures and interactions of color.
